Welcome
Here are some projects that my son B made when he was homeschooled.Crème Brûlée from scratch - June cooking fridays
Categories: Home Schooling
This is hands down my most favorite dessert. It just has it all for me. Sugar, fat and crunch ha ha. So when B wanted to make this for us, I was over the moon.
When we go to a new restaurant, the first word out of my mouth is usually: May I see your dessert menu please. I need to plan accordingly if there's Crème Brûlée on the menu.
Do you do that too, plan your meals according to the dessert menu?
Here is how B made Crème Brûlée
Crème Brûlée <---- video tutorial that B used.
Recipe by Joy
1 1/3 cups (320 ml) heavy 'whipping' cream
1 vanilla bean, split and seeds removed - we get ours for less here
4 large (60 grams) egg yolks, room temperature
1/4 cup (50 grams) sugar
about 4 tablespoons (60 grams) superfine white sugar (caster sugar)
And here are the photos.
Untouched by human hand.
Adult supervision required.
Dessert is served! Yum. My favorite dessert by my favorite son
This is the last of the desserts he made during our June Cooking Fridays.
Here are all three of the desserts that B made - links to each recipe under picture:
French Macaroons Chocolate Eclairs Crème Brûlée
