Drawing - how I drew the flower that has become my logo flower for Shift Ctrl Art
I started taking art classes with my son and we are having so much fun.
Last weekend I tried my hand at drawing from a photograph. This was the first drawing I attempted on my own outside of class.
I took this picture of some flowers I had in my kitchen window.
As you can see on the image I traced out the petals and details, but it was still a bit difficult to see, so I traced this onto paper by taping it to a window. The image is printed at about 4x6 inches.

This made it easier to draw it bigger onto my pastel paper. I made it 9x12. Here is the finished drawing:
I liked this drawing so much it eventually became the inspiration for my blog logo.
