IKEA dream home - a different take on the same master bedroom and some hacks
So in the post about the IKEA dream home + blogger style, I showed you my take on a master bedroom using only IKEA items. By the way, these posts are not sponsored. We just like to pass along great finds.
Keeping the bed, the bench, the bed sconces and of course the sheepskins, I was wondering how I could pull together another look, completely different from the first one.
The bed is not surprisingly the bulk of the budget. All the items in the "mood board starter" come out to $2067 + tax.

While the other mood board had a bit of a mid century modern vibe, this one reads a bit more cottage contemporary.

Total cost for the mid century modern look: $ 4939 + tax
Total cost for the Cottage contemporary look: $ 3749 + tax
Are you surprised that the price difference is that much between the two looks? The black chair, the nesting tables and the side board are the big reasons the price jumps up on the mid century modern look.
Here is a floor plan of our master bedroom and I have put in all the furniture that you see in the mood boards to give you an idea of how I would actually set up everything in our room.
We don't have IKEA stuff ALL over like this, but I do love me some IKEA, I can not lie. Often we buy something at IKEA and then hack it by altering it in some way.
