Living room remodel - the reveal
Ready for the reveal?!
After we put in new windows and built an entertainment center, we went from this to this:
Here are some more images of the "after"
The butterfly on canvas was bought in a small gift shop in Orange, Ca. The white flower tile is from Zgallerie. The rest of the art work is home made.
The white table is an old kids play table from IKEA. The wicker basket and lantern are from Home Goods - both on sale. The votives are from IKEA. The lily's are from Potterybarn. They were a gift. I blogged about them here.
I love my new green glass vase from Home Goods. ($7.99 in the clearance section - score). Yes I had to write that one more time
The lamp is the BAROMETER from IKEA. It just got reduced in price from $59 to $49.
The carved wooden drum table, I picked up in the sprint at World Market. It was on sale then at $129, but I just saw the other day that they dumped the price further to $119, both of which is much less than other places I have seen.
In Europe, H&M (the clothing store) has a line of home goods. That is where I got the SEL de MER pillow case from. You can see what they have here (some of the site is in English). I really hope they bring this to the US soon I tried ordering online last year, but they would not even accept my American credit card and ship to my address, nor ship to a Danish address. So I had to wait until I went to Denmark to pick it up.
My son and I love to paint and draw. He drew the frog on the right hand side. He also folded the brown kraft paper flower on the wall.
The turquoise bird and lantern are from Home Goods. The topiaries and tray (splurge) are from Antique Farm market.
Update 2013 - Here are some fresh photos of the living room with our new mirror and a couple of other accessories.
